Process a new leather dog collar evenly inside and out by a brush or cotton pellet with castor or linseed oil, or a special leather care balm. Repeat the procedure once in a while to keep your leather accessories look nice and be reliable for a long time.
Do not use leather dog accessories in rain and for dog swimming. If a leather dog collar, muzzle, or harness is got wet through, wipe it with a dry cloth and hang it to get dry in room temperature without use of heaters.
Keep leather items from straight sunlight, heaters and sources of open fire.
Store leather items in wrapped in cloth to have access to air and be ventilated.
